Perinatal Mental Health Care: Individual, Programmatic, Systemic
I have worked in the perinatal mental health field for over 25 years, starting as a doula, midwifery student, clinical social worker, state and national leader.
FOR INDIVIDUALS AND PARENTS:
I not currently taking new clients.
In my roots, I am a psychotherapist and love working with individuals. I practice from a range of therapeutic modalities and have a very practical and relational style. I can support individuals experiencing perinatal mental health concerns including- adjustment check-ins, birth trauma, loss, anxiety and depression, body feeding trauma, relationship changes, and more. After being in the field for many years, there are very few perinatal mental health experiences that I haven't heard. I can help you to make sense of your experience and find your way through!
FOR PROFESSIONALS:
I am Washington State Approved Supervisor and provide Clinical Supervision and Consultation for a range of direct service professionals. Each of us has our own unique approach and vision for the services we want to offer. The world needs all types of providers and professionals. I help individual practitioners (both clinical and also allied health professionals- doulas, peers, midwives) to develop your voice and style. Together we can think about how best to incorporate perinatal mental health services into your practice. I am happy to meet professionals once or twice to talk through an idea or to learn more about perinatal mental health specialization and I also offer weekly supervision and consultation services.
FOR PROGRAMS & ORGANIZATIONS:
After working in mezzo and macro areas of child and family health for over 15 years, I understand the complexities of the perinatal mental health landscape in Washington State and nationally. With this knowledge I provide both programmatic/organizational consultation as well clinical supervision or support for front line staff. I balance clinical expertise and systemic knowledge about systems of care.
I bring a unique understanding of the barriers-to-care that exist in perinatal mental health care services. I am just as interested in a client's experience of your services as I am in the front line staff that provides them, and the supervisors and administrators that oversee them. If your program or service needs support implementing any type of perinatal mental health programming- I can help!

I have extensive training experience and can customize training for wide range of professionals - clinical, non/clinical community based professionals, and medical staff.
